Twinfalls Cattle
History
Twinfalls Cattle commenced trading in July 2016 when William Shaw and Sheldon Conway formed a 50/50 partnership, named Twinfalls Cattle. Since then Sheldon has continued the legacy. The intention remains to expand cattle grazing operations on the farm in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands area, with the plan of having a profitably business.
Farm Land

Twinfalls Cattle runs their cattle on 450 ha of grazing land on the farm in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands area. The farm holds mixed veld, with substantial areas of red grass, and kikuyu grass. The Mistbelt Forest is used successfully during winter for warmth and additional grazing. This has proven to be one of the great successes in fattening the Twinfalls Cattle.
Cattle breeds
The operation runs a commercial beef herd that sells fattened weaners to the market. We predominantly have Brangus/Brahman/Braford type beef cows and alternate our bulls to maintain good genetics.

Stock numbers
We continue to grow our herd to deliver quality weeners to the market. We are very conscious of maintaining good stocking rates to sustain the farm.

Future of business
There is a positive expectation for the future of Twinfalls Cattle. We are achieving good prices per kg at auctions, due to the quality weaners we are presenting and have been commended on our product supplied to auction.
The price of cattle has improved over the last year, meaning our stock holding of cows should be valued higher. We have leveraged this to our advantage and expect with the population growth in our country that the demand for beef will continue to increase.
